H&M Look Book

Lately I have been really liking the clothing at H&M. I had a lasting love affair with H&M back when I lived in England and to be completely honest the quality in 1997 was amazing, I am pretty sure I still own some items from that era. Once H&M arrived in Toronto, I was so excited and I still am. I love their special line collaborations with various designers, although I am having a hard time often scoring from those collections.

Anyway, back to the Look Book that H&M released, I am actually liking some styles a lot and hoping to score the collar necklace, since I have been obsessing over all kinds of chunky necklaces lately. I will soon need some kind of storage invention to keep them all in one place:)

Here are some of favourites

Which ones are yours? :)

I can be THIS kind of Vegetarian!

I don't know if you ever heard of Hemmerle, who is a jeweller from Munich..I only recently stumbled across the name and some pieces that can make even the biggest meat eater want to be a vegetarian..even if for a day or two.
Recent collection of these vegetables include cauliflower, carrots, corn and onion..:-)

Best Procrastination Ideas!

It is almost time to hand in all the final assignments and begin preparations for the final exams, therefore it is time for increased procrastination. I know you or most of you do it...I am the worst or will it be correct to say the best procrastinator ever!
So what kind of things one can get done when instead they should be studying?

1. Laundry! - I always begin with laundry, I kind of think at first that it would be a great idea to put laundry in since I will be studying anyway, however, this is just the start of the greatest procrastination day.

2. Try shoes on and take pictures of shoes! - Since laundry is in, what else to do? I can try on shoes, to check if they fit well, maybe think whether I need any new shoes ( I DO NOT ) and consider selling a pair or two (I NEVER DO)

3.  Clean! - Yes, whenever I need to finish a 10 page essay, I have to finish all the cleaning, you know, to make sure my head is clean and I have a clean space to study (that's my explanation for it anyhow)

4. Cook! - After all, when am I supposed to cook if not now? I better make sure I have food just in case I want to eat while I am studying. The more complex the recipe - the better.

5. STUDY! -You could catch up with a show...but at this time I usually force myself to study...unfortunately by the time everything else is done that ends up being quite late at night, that way I can have a little studying done and go to bed....since I have to wake up early tomorrow!

Thats the life of the procrastinating student!
P.S. Attached of course...a picture of shoes

Delicious Dukaning...

So day 1 has been a success with Dukan Diet, I actually managed to stay strong for an entire day and avoid carbs, at night I was dreaming about chocolate...and thats only day 1! However I lost a little over a pound and that made me happy. No carbs, no sugar - pretty straightforward stuff!!!

I started my morning with some greek fat free yoghurt and oat bran. Now I just have to force myself work out for an hour and then finish off some studying!!

I am thinking of trying out some recipes I found online, if it turns out tasty I will post a picture and a recipe!

I am also trying to sell off some of my stuff. I try to stay away from Ebay, since its always makes me mad!! I posted some of my stuff on Bonanza this time, so I am curious to see if my Herve Leger and Some other stuff sells.

Some pictures of my stuff I want to let go of

Recipe for Oat Bran Pancakes

Herr is the recipe I used for the pancakes, I did not add any sweetner and ate them with yoghurt and they taste great!

Dukan Oat Bran Pancake

Ingredients

  • 1 beaten egg (or 2 beaten egg whites)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of oat bran
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of zero fat quark or fromage frais
  • Zero fat (skimmed) milk if needed
  • Seasoning or sweetener of choice

Method

  1. Mix together the egg, oat bran and quark or fromage frais with the seasoning (or sweetener) of your choice, adding a little milk to thin the mixture if required.
  2. Add a few drops of oil to a non-stick frying pan and wipe with a paper kitchen towel.
  3. Add the mixture to the pan and cook on a medium heat until bubbles have formed on top of the pancake.
  4. Turn the pancake and continue to cook until nicely browned.

Useful Information

To save time you can make a batch of pancakes and keep them in the refrigerator or freezer for up to a week.

They turn out yummy and healthy! enjoy!
